What Is the Integrated Master's Program?
The Integrated Master's Program conducted by the Institute of Graduate Studies of Istanbul Kültür University is an academic development program that enables students who demonstrate high academic achievement in their undergraduate education to take master's-level courses while continuing their undergraduate studies.
The program aims to help students plan their graduate education at an early stage, support their academic development, and enhance their professional competencies.
Opportunities Provided by the Program
Within the scope of the program, students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering may:
• Take master's courses while continuing their undergraduate education,
• Become familiar with the graduate education process and academic working environment at an earlier stage,
• Identify the fields in which they wish to specialize at an earlier stage,
• Develop their academic and professional competencies through advanced-level courses,
• Have the courses they successfully complete counted toward their master's education, provided that they meet the required conditions.
Application Requirements
Students applying to the program must:
• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at Istanbul Kültür University,
• Be at the beginning of at least the seventh semester of their undergraduate program,
• Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00/4.00,
• Have taken and successfully completed all courses from previous semesters and academic years.
Students may apply only to the master's programs determined by the relevant department for the undergraduate program in which they are enrolled.
Applications of students enrolled in double major or minor programs are evaluated through their major program.
Students enrolled in international joint undergraduate programs and students participating in Erasmus, Farabi, or similar exchange programs during their seventh or eighth semesters may not apply to the program.
Application and Evaluation Process
Applications are submitted to the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering within the announced schedule, together with the student's current transcript and a petition stating the request to participate in the program.
Applications are evaluated respectively by the Department Chair, the Faculty Administrative Board, the relevant Department Chair, and the Institute of Graduate Studies.
If the number of applications exceeds the designated quota, ranking is based on the students' undergraduate cumulative grade point averages. In the event of equal grade point averages, ÖSYM placement scores are taken into consideration.
The program quota is determined with the recommendation of the Institute Board and the approval of the Senate, provided that it does not exceed 20 percent of the quota determined for the relevant master's program.
Course Registration Process
Students admitted to the program may take a minimum of one and a maximum of two graduate courses each semester during their undergraduate education.
Students select their courses from among those offered by the relevant department in the respective semester and designated within the scope of the program.
Attendance requirements, examinations, and achievement evaluations of the courses are conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Istanbul Kültür University Graduate Education and Training Regulation.
In order for a course taken within the scope of the program to be considered successful, the student must receive at least a B- letter grade in that course.
Recording Courses on the Undergraduate Transcript
Courses taken within the scope of the Integrated Master's Program are recorded on the student's undergraduate transcript as non-credit courses and are not included in the undergraduate cumulative grade point average.
During the program, students' graduate academic advising is carried out by the head of the relevant department.
Final Enrollment in the Master's Program
For the courses taken during undergraduate education to be counted toward the master's program, the student must:
• Complete the undergraduate education in eight semesters,
• Complete final enrollment in the relevant master's program in the first term following graduation,
• Have a graduation cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00/4.00,
• Meet the ALES requirement determined by the relevant master's program,

Graduate courses successfully completed during undergraduate education by students who meet these conditions are counted directly toward the master's program.
Students who do not meet these conditions may not complete final enrollment in a master's program within the scope of the Integrated Master's Program. Graduate courses taken by these students are not included in undergraduate graduation credits and are shown in a separate document.
Important Information
The master's programs to be included in the program, the courses to be offered, quotas, and application dates are determined periodically by the relevant academic units and the Institute of Graduate Studies.
Students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering are advised to review current announcements and contact the Department Chair regarding academic planning before applying.
