“LIFELONG LEARNING SEMINAR"

The “Lifelong Learning” seminar, featuring Alen Güler, Senior DevOps Engineer at Turknet, as the speaker, was successfully held on November 19, 2025. The event took place at İKÜ Bakırköy Campus, Ataköy Building, B1 Floor, Amphitheater 1 (B11).

We would like to thank all our students who participated in the seminar.

As the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, we will continue to organize events that contribute to the professional development of our students and add value to their academic journey.
 

“RESEARCH ASSISTANT AHMET AYTUĞ AYRANCI’S BAP PROJECT HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR FUNDING”

The project titled “Design of an Electronic Nose-Based Pesticide Detection System”, proposed by Research Assistant Ahmet Aytuğ AYRANCI from our university’s Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, has been deemed worthy of support by the Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Unit.

“Lifelong Learning” Seminar

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will host a seminar about “Lifelong Learning”. Alen Güler, Senior DevOps Engineer at Turknet, will participate as the guest speaker. The seminar will take place on November 19, 2025 (Wednesday) at 13:00, at IKU Bakırköy Campus / Ataköy Building, B1 Floor, Lecture Hall 1 (B11).

The seminar will be held in English.

ASSOC. PROF. ESRA SAATCI PRESENTED AT THE MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES CONGRESS TOGETHER WITH M.SC. STUDENT SONA SEMSARİ PARAPARİ

Assoc. Prof. Esra Saatcı, a faculty member of our department, together with our M.Sc. student Sona Semsari Parapari, successfully presented their joint study titled “Obstructive Sleep Apnea Detection from Single-Lead ECG Using Signal Processing and Machine Learning” at the Medical Technologies Congress (TIPTEKNO’25), held in Cyprus on October 26–28, 2025.
 

ASSOC. PROF. ESRA SAATÇI PARTICIPATED AS AN INVITED SPEAKER AT THE EMBCO’25 CONFERENCE

Our faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Esra Saatçı, participated as an invited speaker at the EMBCO’25 Conference, organized by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBS) Turkey Student Branch on October 18–19, 2025, and delivered her presentation titled “Challenges and Opportunities in Biomedical Engineering.

"COLLABORATION MEETINGS HELD BETWEEN EMO AND THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING"

Ramazan Pektaş, a member of the EMO Executive Board, visited our Department on October 15, 2025. The meeting included discussions on EMO’s collaborations with universities, academic activities, and various opportunities provided to students, including seminars, visits, and internships.
 

“DIGITAL DESIGN IN AVIATION SEMINAR"

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will host a “Digital Design in Aviation” seminar on Wednesday, November 12, at 11:00 AM in Seminar Hall 2, located on the Ground Floor, D Corridor, Ataköy Building, Bakırköy Campus. Lecturer Dr. Ali Rıza YILMAZ, Senior Competence Engineer at Turkish Airlines Technic Inc., will participate as the guest speaker.

Electronics and Signal Processing Journal announces a Special Issue on advanced signal processing and artificial intelligence applications in biomedical engineering.

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING ORIENTATION PROGRAM (Fall 2025)

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will host an orientation program, primarily aimed at students newly enrolled for the 2025–2026 academic year.

The orientation program is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, between 10:20 and 10:40 a.m., at Ataköy Campus, Basement Floor (B1), Amphitheater 5 (AKB15).

Note:

Participation is important for newly registered students, as it will provide valuable insight into the department and facilitate a better understanding of academic and administrative processes.
