The Graduation Project Presentations for the 2025–2026 Academic Year have been successfully concluded with the participation of our students and faculty members.
We extend our sincere congratulations to all students who have successfully completed and presented their graduation projects. Furthermore, we express our profound gratitude to our esteemed faculty members for their invaluable contributions during the preparation and evaluation stages of these projects, as well as to all students who attended the event.
On May 5, 2026, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a seminar entitled “Photovoltaic Systems: Operating Principles, Installation, and Industry Perspectives” at the Ataköy Building of the Bakırköy Campus.
Dr. Çağatay Varış from Rhofa Energy participated in the event as the guest speaker.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized technical visits to Deka Elektronik A.Ş. on May 14 and May 21, 2026. Within the scope of the visit, the practical application studies for the 2025-2026 Spring Semester course "Industrial Instrumentation and Design" were conducted at Deka Elektronik A.Ş.

As part of the Erasmus Information Meeting organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, students were provided with comprehensive information on the application processes, evaluation criteria, grant opportunities, and international study and internship options within the program.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering held its orientation program for all students, particularly those newly enrolled in the department for the 2025–2026 academic year, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, between 13:00 and 14:00 at the Multi-Purpose Seminar Hall (2nd Floor), Ataköy Campus.
Within the scope of the program, students were informed about the department’s academic structure, educational process, and available facilities. The session also included guidance aimed at supporting students’ adaptation to university and departmental life.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will be organizing an orientation program intended for all our students, particularly those newly enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year. This program will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, between 13:00 and 14:00, at the 2nd Floor Multi-Purpose Seminar Hall, Ataköy Campus.
This presentation will provide valuable information about the department, and we encourage all students, especially newcomers, to attend.
We expect all our students to attend the orientation presentation.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Oruç Bilgiç, a faculty member of our Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, was honored with a plaque commemorating his 50th year in the profession.
Prof. Dr. Bilgiç has accomplished significant work in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering throughout his academic and engineering career, and was recognized for his half-century of contributions to science and education.
As part of the EEMKON 2026 program, our Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Esra Saatçı, presented a seminar titled "Future-Oriented Engineering Education in Healthcare Technologies" within the scope of 'Biomedical Technologies' on January 14th. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Oruç Bilgiç, Prof. Dr. Atilla Özmen, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Saatçı from our department also attended the seminar.
Res. Asst. Seren Çelik from our department presented a comprehensive presentation on "Energy Conservation and Efficient Energy Usage" at a seminar hosted by Bakırköy Municipality. Organized with the objective of fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainable energy management, the event proved to be highly productive and informative in providing attendees with technical insights and enhanced awareness.
