Our Department, which started providing education in 2004 under the name of Electronic Engineering, has a history of nearly 15 years. Our priorities include raising Electrical and Electronics Engineers with a high level of problem-solving skills, respect for ethical values who are socially responsible and possess positive human relation skills.
Electronics Engineering is one of the fastest growing engineering branches. Therefore, the curriculum of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at İstanbul Kültür University was updated in the 2011-2012 Academic Year and adapted to EU standards.
The medium of instruction is English. Thus, our students improve their technical English with English classes.
The main purpose of our Electrical and Electronics Engineering program is to train "engineers" in general and “electronic engineers” in particular which are needed in various sectors of the economy, by giving weight to the theoretical knowledge as well as application and considering the incoming student profile. Graduates of the program can become engineers for companies that make production or infrastructure and/or application of information technology. Alternatively, they can pursue an academic career by continuing their graduate education.
Laboratory classes increase the application skills of students. Our Department has Electrical Circuits, Electronic, Circuits Communication and Computer Laboratories. Graduation projects are managed through a specific process in our Department.
Students of our Department can obtain a second diploma by enrolling in a Double Major Program at our University.
Students who successfully earn their degree in our Department have the opportunity to find jobs in national and international institutions in sectors such as electric, electronics, computers, communication and biomedical.
Thanks to international student exchange programs, our students are provided with the opportunity to strengthen their skills in European universities.
The name of our Department was changed to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering as of the 2015-2016 Academic Year after the proposal of the Rectorate of our University and the decision taken by the Executive Board of Higher Education on April 8, 2015.
I recommend you review our website to get to know our Department and I would like to inform you that you can contact me with questions from my e-mail address.
I offer love and respect to all of you on behalf of our Department.
